Habitat for Humanity dedicates new house

a new home for mother and her children dedicated today in fountain by Habitat for Humanity Jamie O’Brien put more than 300 hours into the building of her home she successfully completed homeownership classes as required by the organization O’Brien said she was concerned about the safety of her kids because of gangs in her old neighborhood and wanted to give him a better life that’s why she applied with Habitat the people I’ve met through the process all those who volunteer their time to help others it has truly restored my faith in humanity and it was lost for a minute there now she won’t be alone in the neighborhood the habitat crew broke ground on another build just this morning just a few blocks up the street Habitat for Humanity has built more than 152 homes in El Paso County in the past 30 years
